I start recording Jimmy Two Shoes this week and I couldn't be more excited. The show is so well written and the animation is fantastic. I play Beezy and Sean Cullen plays my dad, Lucius. How cool is that? I'll keep you posted on all things J2S.

Swiss Family Guy Robinson Nominated For Two Canadian Comedy Awards

This just in! Swiss Family Guy Robinson has been nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards AND Seth MacFarlane knows about us!

From Jim Slotek's July 23rd Canoe interview...

SWISS CHARRED: On a local note, MacFarlane says he didn't agree with Fox's lawyers shutting down the made-in-Toronto onstage spoof The Swiss Family Guy Robinson earlier this year.

The touring one-man show by Brian Froud had precedent to lean on - Rick Miller's MacHomer, a twist on Macbeth that Simpson's creator Matt Groening had seen and given thumbs up to.

"I never saw (Swiss Family Guy), but I did make a call to Fox to say 'For what it's worth, my two cents, I think you just oughtta let the guy do it. "I just feel in this day and age with the Internet, because of the enormous exchange of information, intellectual property in some weird way feels public. I just don't see how anything like that hurts the studio.

Carol Burnett Sues Fox Over Family Guy Spoof = Karma!

In a timely ironic twist of hypocrisy, Carol Burnett is suing Fox for copyright infringement. The very thing that they shut us down for. Fox said, "We are surprised that Ms. Burnett, who has made a career of spoofing others on television, would go so far as to sue 'Family Guy' for a simple bit of comedy." Ha! Maybe this will make them change our minds and let us do OUR simple bit of comedy!

What is Swiss Family Guy Robinson? It’s a one man show with impersonations of all your favourite Family Guy characters, except for Meg... She’s hard to do. Swiss Family Guy Robinson was co-created by me and the Shehori Brothers. Daniel and Steven Shehori are an award winning comedy duo based out of Toronto. They are quite possibly the busiest siblings working on the Canadian comedy scene. Between them, the brothers have garnered 8 Canadian Comedy Award nominations (and one win!) as writers, directors and producers. In 2001, they were hired on as head comedy writers for the internationally renowned show Naked News TV, and became co-creators and producers of the Second City’s critically acclaimed live cabaret Eclectic Circus – which was one of the longest-running comedy shows in the organization’s history. Most recently, Daniel and Steven were head comedy writers for the 2006 Gemini Awards (Canada’s version of the Emmys). They have also been asked to write and direct a live-action sitcom for Showcase.ca. The brothers have several hobbies and interests that fall within acceptable societal norms.
