I start recording Jimmy Two Shoes this week and I couldn't be more excited. The show is so well written and the animation is fantastic. I play Beezy and Sean Cullen plays my dad, Lucius. How cool is that? I'll keep you posted on all things J2S.

This just in! Swiss Family Guy Robinson has been nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards AND Seth MacFarlane knows about us!

SWISS CHARRED: On a local note, MacFarlane says he didn't agree with Fox's lawyers shutting down the made-in-Toronto onstage spoof The Swiss Family Guy Robinson earlier this year.

The touring one-man show by Brian Froud had precedent to lean on - Rick Miller's MacHomer, a twist on Macbeth that Simpson's creator Matt Groening had seen and given thumbs up to.

"I never saw (Swiss Family Guy), but I did make a call to Fox to say 'For what it's worth, my two cents, I think you just oughtta let the guy do it. "I just feel in this day and age with the Internet, because of the enormous exchange of information, intellectual property in some weird way feels public. I just don't see how anything like that hurts the studio.

Nothing to report yet, other than the waiting game, but we have been in loose contact with some people at Family Guy. Will it ever tour?

In a timely ironic twist of hypocrisy, Carol Burnett is suing Fox for copyright infringement. The very thing that they shut us down for. Fox said, "We are surprised that Ms. Burnett, who has made a career of spoofing others on television, would go so far as to sue 'Family Guy' for a simple bit of comedy." Ha! Maybe this will make them change our minds and let us do OUR simple bit of comedy!
